Women in Islam ( 1 of 2 )
What is the status of women in the Qur'an? How do the Qur'an view women? Are Muslim Women really Oppressed? No other issue is more loaded with emotions than what the place of women is in the respective religions. Anyone wishing to understand Islam must first separate the religion from the cultural norms and style of a society. Female genital mutilation is still practised in certain pockets of Africa and Egypt, but viewed as an inconceivable horror by the vast majority of Muslims. Forced marriages may still take place in certain Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities, but would be anathema to Muslim women from other backgrounds. Indeed, Islam insists on the free consent of both bride and groom, so such marriages could even be deemed illegal under religious law. Women in Islam
Shaikh Yusuf Estes The Rights Of The Woman In Islam is a valuable message to fortify the Muslim woman against suspicions concerning her threatened rights in Islam as they declared in addition to revealing tricks planned by them. Islam considers a woman to be equal to a man as a human being and as his partner in this life. Women have been created with a soul of the same nature as men

2 american soldiers killed in Afghanistan Mar 2nd 2012
American serviceman killed. Authorities say two gunmen killed two service members with a NATO-led security force in Afghanistan. KABUL -- Two American soldiers were killed Thursday in a shooting by an Afghan soldier and a literacy teacher at a joint base in southern Afghanistan, officials said, the latest in a series of deaths as anti-Americanism rises following the burning of Korans by US soldiers. Both were killed on the same day that the top NATO commander allowed a small number of foreign advisers to return to work at Afghan ministries after more than a week of being locked down in secure locations because of the killing of two other Americans. Re: Woman is beaten in public by Taliban in Afghanistan
that video that shows Taliban bitten a woman is A FAKE 100%.............. i think i should make my self clear. i dont support the taliban. i may support some of there views. but i dont support when taliban say no school for girls. that is not islamic at all. everyone needs education. and some of there islamic laws are not even islam. like whiping a 12 year old girl because she does not wont to marry a 40 year old man is totaly un-islamic and unacceptable in islam.. i know many muslims will agree with me on this... i only made this video because. a lot of islamafobs were using this clip to show islam is evil. and muslims beat there wifes.. witch is untrue.. i know there are some bad taliban out there. who give the real taliban a bad name. i am talking about them.. who knows it could have been the northern alliance beating that woman
