Jalaudin beshno Muhammad Videos and ClipsMolana Jalal-ad-Din Muhammad Balki-(Rumi) Poem Farsi Persian the opening lines. "Beshno az nay..." Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī (جلالالدین محمد رومی), (known to the English-speaking world simply as Rumi) (30 September 1207 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic jurist, theologian, and mystic Sufi of high order. Rumi was born in Balkh, Bactria, in contemporary Afghanistan, which at that time was part of the Persian Empire. He lived most of his life under the Sultanate of Rum, where he produced his works and died in 1273 CE. He was buried in Konya, current day Turkey. Following his death, his followers and his son Sultan Walad founded the Mawlawīyah Sufi Order, also known as the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, tags: Education, Rumi;, Persian, poetry;, Molavi;, maulana;, mawlana, Jalaudin, Masnavi;, Mathnavi;, Iran;, Iranian, farsi;, mawlana;, mevlana;, beshno, nay;, sufi;, rumi, recitation;, hafez, shirazi;, afghanestan;, afghan, afghan;, Jalal-ad-Din, Muhammad, Balki;, poem, recited, persian; Beshno az Ney (sung by Ayeda Husain Naqvi in Persian and Urdu - with English translation).wmv In the opening poem of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi's Mathnawi, Beshno az Ney, or the Cry of the Reed, we hear the lament of the reed flute as it tells us about the pain of separation. Just as the reed is cut from the reed bed, burned, hollowed, and drilled with holes, so must man in his unnatural state of separation from the Divine go through the trials of life and learn to be that empty before he can turn his suffering into joy, or in this case, beautiful music. It is the pain of separation that will eventually bring him Home. Listen to the cry of the reed flute Listen to its song of separation: Ever since I was cut from the reed bed I have made this crying sound and made men and women weep with me I need a heart torn by separation So you may understand the pain of loves desire Whoever has been taken from his Source Always longs to go back Listen to the cry of the reed flute Listen to its song of separation tags: Film, Beshno, Rumi, Ney, mathnawi, sufi, Pakistan, Lahore, Urdu, Persian, Farsi, Ayeda, song, reed, cry, masnavi, nay, bishno Beshno az Ney of Mevlana Rumi in of Voice Sadiq Fitrat Nashenas - Afghan singer [English Lyrics] Listen to the (ney) reed flute, how it tells a tale complaining of separation Saying, "Ever since I was separated from the reed bed my lament has caused man and woman to moan, I want a bosom torn by severance, that I may unfold the pain of love desire, Every one who is left far from his source wishes back the time when he was united with it, In every company I uttered my wailful notes, I consorted with the unhappy and with them that rejoice, Everyone became my friend from his own opinion; none sought out my secrets from within me, My secret is not far from my plaint, but ear and eye lack the light (to apprehend it) Body is not veiled from soul nor soul from body, yet none is permitted to see the soul." This noise of the reed is fire, it is not wind; whoso has not this fire may he be naught! 'Tis the fire of Love that is in the reed, 'tis the fervour of love that is in the wine. The reed is the companion of everyone who has been parted from a friend: its strains pierced our hearts. Who ever saw a poison and an antidote like the reed? Who ever saw a sympathiser and a longing lover like the reed? The reed tells of the Way full of blood and recounts stories of the passion of Majnun. Only to the senseless is this sense confided: the tongue hath no customer save the ear. In our woe the days (of life) have become untimely: our days travel hand in hand with burning griefs. If our days are gone let them go! - 'tis no matter. Do Thou remain, for none is holy as Thou art!
