"Beshno az nay..." Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī (جلالالدین محمد رومی), (known to the English-speaking world simply as Rumi) (30 September 1207 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian poet, Islamic jurist, theologian, and mystic Sufi of high order. Rumi was born in Balkh, Bactria, in contemporary Afghanistan, which at that time was part of the Persian Empire. He lived most of his life under the Sultanate of Rum, where he produced his works and died in 1273 CE. He was buried in Konya, current day Turkey. Just as the reed is cut from the reed bed, burned, hollowed, and drilled with holes, so must man in his unnatural state of separation from the Divine go through the trials of life and learn to be that empty before he can turn his suffering into joy, or in this case, beautiful music. It is the pain of separation that will eventually bring him Home. Listen to the cry of the reed flute Listen to its song of separation: Ever since I was cut from the reed bed I have made this crying sound and made men and women weep with me I need a heart torn by separation So you may understand the pain of loves desire Whoever has been taken from his Source Always longs to go back Listen to the cry of the reed flute Listen to its song of separation tags: Film, Beshno, Rumi, Ney, mathnawi, sufi, Pakistan, Lahore, Urdu, Persian, Farsi, Ayeda, song, reed, cry, masnavi, nay, bishno I am not from anything, A poem by Rumi, Molana Jalaiddin What is to be done, O Moslems? for I do not recognize myself. My place is the Placeless, my trace is the Traceless ; 'Tis neither body nor soul, for I belong to the soul of the Beloved. I have put duality away, I have seen that the two worlds are one; One I seek, One I know J One I see, One I call. He is the first, He is the last, He is the outward, He is the inward; I know none other except 'Ya Hu' and 'Ya man Hu.' I am intoxicated with Love's cup, the two worlds have passed out of my ken ; I have no business save carouse and revelry. If once in my life I spent a moment without thee, From that time and from that hour I repent of my life. If once in this world I win a moment with thee, I will trample on both worlds, I will dance in triumph for ever. O Shamsi Tabriz, I am so drunken in this world, That except of drunkenness and revelry I have no tale to tell. Mawlānā Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Balkhī (مولانا جلال الدین محمد بلخى), also known as Jalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī (جلالالدین محمد رومی), but known to the English-speaking world simply as Rumi,[1] (30 September 1207 17 December 1273), was a 13th-century Persian[2][3] poet, Islamic jurist, theologian, and mystic.[4] Rūmī is a descriptive name meaning "the Roman" since he lived most of his life in an area called Rūm because it was once ruled by the Byzantine Empire.[5] According to tradition, Rumi was born in Balkh, Khorasan (now in Afghanistan), the hometown of his father's family. Scholars, however, argue that he was most likely born in Wakhsh,[6] a small town located at the river Wakhsh in what is now Tajikistan. Wakhsh belonged to the larger province of Balkh, and in the year Rumi was born, his father was an appointed scholar there.[6] Both these cities were at the time included in the Greater Persian cultural sphere of Khorasan, the easternmost province of historical Persia,[7] and were part of the Khwarezmian Empire. It was a song for the movie Hamsafar which Googoosh starred with actor Behrouz Vossoughi. Back in the days travelling had a certain romanticism and the journey was poetic, thus, hamsafar is someone who shares that journey with you. The music and arrangement are both by Varoojan and the lyrics are by Iraj Janati Ataei. Googoosh is wearing Elie Saab Haute Couture. After, one of my favourite Googoosh songs, Bouye Safar, I had a eureka moment to produce videos for some of the Googoosh songs, which music videos for some of the songs aren't available on YouTube. Being an art student and a total dreamer, I wanted to interpert these beautiful songs from what I imagined and envisioned if I were to be an art director for these videos. Thus, to do so, the utilization of graphics mediums was absolutely essential. tags: Music, Googoosh, gougoush, gogosh, 2010, hamsafar, hamsaffar, behrouz, vossoughi, behrooz, music, video, varoojan, iraj, janati, ataei, journy, journeyer, iran, persian, farsi, masterpiece, 70s, elie, saab, haute, couture Shahram Nazeri, Arghavan tags: Music, persian, iranian, musik, music, Nazeri, Arghavan Rubaiyat of Hafiz e Shirazi Part 1 In English/Farsi - حافظ شیرازی Rubaiyat of Hafiz e Shirazi Hope enjoy! tags: Entertainment, Hafiz, Shirazi, Hafez, Poetry, Beautiful, Farsi, Dari Singers New Members Filter + Music + rumi + rumisher + reng + tasnif + love + poetry + mawlana + molavi + masnavi + roshandelan |
