Googoosh(Persian: گوگوش) born, Faegheh Atashin(Persian: فائقه آتشین, May 5, 1950) is an iconic and famous Persian singer, actress, and diva. With a succesfull career spanning five decades, Googoosh has sold millions of albums, has played sold out arenas around the world and is a household name. In the 1970s, Googoosh was considered the most celebrated recording artist in Iran.[1] In addition to music, Googoosh was also an actress in many Persian films of the 1960s and 1970s. She is more widely known as a singer than as an actress. After the Iranian Revolution in 1979 she remained in Iran until 2000 but did not record or perform again due to the ban on solo female singers. Still, her following grew. Younger people have rediscovered her music via bootleg recordings of her music.[2] Outside of Iran, she has a significant following in many Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries,[3] and currently resides in Los Angeles, California[4] and continues her career, albeit in a limited manner.Googoosh was born 'Faegheh Atashin' on 5 May 1950[5] on Sarcheshmeh Street, in an old, worn-down part of Tehran. While Googoosh was still an infant, her father divorced her mother.[6] She began doing impersonations of some of the singers of the time[7]. To combine an authentic folk instrument playing in the original folk fashion with classical guitar accompaniment using modal & tonal harmony. And finally I was lucky to find Ferenc Segercz, a Transylvanian musician who has put his heart into folk music. He has been playing the flute for the past 20 years, classically trained yet he has been collecting music from the region for a long time , he plays 36 different transylvanian flutes and is well familiar with the folklore music of Romania & Hungary.

Vigen-Yadegari
Vigen Derderian known as "Sultan of Pop" and "Sultan of Persian jazz", was a hugely popular Iranian pop music singer. By 1951, Vigen had got his first job, performing at the Café Shemiran. One night, a national radio producer heard him, with the result that his first song, Moonlight, was broadcast on Tehran radio - and became an instant hit. More than 600 songs were to follow during his long career. Some of them, such as Red Rose, Rival and Rain, have become classic Iranian popular songs. Considered by some fans as the Elvis Presley of Iran, Vigen's good looks and tall, fine physique added to his appeal as Iran's first male pop star - especially among women at a time when ideas of emancipation were taking hold in the 1950s and 60s. He was also one of the first Iranian entertainers to perform with a guitar. His works were very popular among Iranian people at the time, some of his songs became iconic/folkloric songs in the culture. His most important songs: Baroon Barooneh, Mahtab, Asbeh Ablagh, Lalaii, Raghib, Deleh Divaneh. He celebrated the 50th anniversary of his career at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles in February 2001. The legendary Vigen Derderian worked with the best Iranian songwriters and composers, who realised they had to cater for a new youth market, and performed some of his country's most memorable songs.

According to tradition, Rumi was born in Balkh, Khorasan (now in Afghanistan), the hometown of his father's family. This city was at the time included in the Greater Persian cultural sphere of Khorasan, the easternmost province of historical Persia, and were part of the Khwarezmian Empire. He lived most of his life under the Sultanate of Rum, where he produced his works and died in 1273 CE. He was buried in Konya and his shrine became a place of pilgrimage. Following his death, his followers and his son Sultan Walad founded the Mawlawīyah Sufi Order, also known as the Order of the Whirling Dervishes, famous for its Sufi dance known as the samāʿ ceremony.
