Beautiful Pakistan - Land of the Beautiful
This is a video about Pakistan with the Pashto song ''Stargo Bala Wakhlom'' remix in the background. Pakistan is such a diverse country with incredible potential and many things about the country are unknown to the outside world and even to native Pakistani's themselves. Often times, the news media doesnt show this aspect of my country. The country has progressed considerably since gaining independence from Britain in 1947. Starting off at a literacy rate of just 6% and barely any infrastructure and only one industrial unit, the country has made considerable progress in the last 60 years. Much more work needs to be and will be done. Despite being in a hostile environment , surrounded by a hostile neighboors and been threatened by countries many times larger, the country remains resilient and vigilant. The country squared off and beat back then super power USSR in the west and brought about its demise. It has fought countless wars against india in the east, a country whose population is over a billion people and continually provokes it, yet Pakistan continues to stand its ground and grows stronger. Later, terrorists and militants in connivance and support of our neighboors like india have tried and failed in their attempts to get innocent Pakistani civilians to submit to their world vision of intolerance and demands through their acts of violence and terror. The Pakistani people, the Pakistani army and the international community refuse to give in to such tyranny. Pakistan ...

Yazd - Survival in the Iranian Desert - one of Sam's Exotic Travels
How do you live in the desert - with NO rain and heat, heat, heat? I don't mean no rain for part or most of the year, I mean NO rain ALL year! Impossible? NO. Yazd, Iran is such a place, yet it's 500000 residents have managed to live and prosper for centuries. Yazd, has some of the finest examples of traditional desert Persian residential architecture. Because of its climate, it has one of the largest networks of qanats in the world, and Yazdi qanat makers are considered the most skilled in Iran. To deal with the extremely hot summers, many old buildings in Yazd have magnificent windcatchers, and large underground areas. The city is also home to prime examples of yakhchals, the latter of which were used to store ice retrieved from glaciers in the nearby mountains. Yazd is also one of the largest cities built almost entirely out of adobe. Yazd's heritage as a centre of Zoroastrianism is also important. There is a Tower of Silence on the outskirts, and the city itself has a Fire Temple, which holds a fire that has been kept alight continuously since 470 AD. Presently, Zoroastrians make up a significant minority of the population, around 20 - 40000 or 5 to 10%.

Languages - What Al-Quran says about speaker Mohammad Shaikh IIPC (2008) 03/05
Why Koran is revealed and written in Arabic language ? 3000--6000 languages that are spoken by humans today are the most salient examples, but natural languages can also be based on visual rather than auditory stimuli, for example in sign languages and written language. Codes and other kinds of artificially constructed communication systems such as those used for computer programming can also be called languages. A language in this sense is a system of signs for encoding and decoding information. The English word derives ultimately from Latin lingua, "language, tongue", lisan is the arabic word for language and this lecture of Mohammad Shaikh give a koranic prospective of languages which will be a revelation to you..

Gifts of the Magi with John Waterhouse.mov
Dr. John Waterhouse speaks of Jesus, great magician from the Jungian archetype perspective. The Magi appeared after Jesus was about one year old and were likely part of a group pf priests (Zorastrian teaching, based on one uncreated presence through which all else was created). They were an order of priests known as mystics and alchemists, and Jesus may have spent seventeen years with them studying the divine presence within.
